Gwen Renée Stefani (born October 3, 1969) is an American singer and songwriter, who rose to fame a co-founder and lead vocalist of the group No Doubt whose singles include "Just a Girl", "Spiderwebs", and "Don't Speak", from their 1995 breakthrough studio album Tragic Kingdom (a number-one score on the Billboard 200), as well as "Hey Baby" and "It's My Life" from later albums. Stefani has won three Grammy Awards. As a solo artist, she has received an American Music Award, a Brit Award, a World Music Award, and two Billboard Music Awards.
Her debut album, Love. Angel. Music. Baby. was released November 12, 2004, through Interscope Records. The set debuted at No.7 in the US and finally peaked at No.5, while garnering six Grammy nominations including Album of the Year in 2006. It featured the singles "What You Waiting For?" (AUS #1, FIN #4, IRE #2, FRA #5, SCO #2, ITA #2, SWE #6, UK #4, US #47), "Rich Girl" (featuring Eve) (AUS #2, DEN #3, FRA #4, IRE #2, ITA #7, NETH #4, NOR #2, PER #1, UK #4, US #7) , "Hollaback Girl" (US #1, UK #8, SWE #7, SCO #9, NOR #6, IRE #4, DEN #5, AUS #1) , "Cool" (AUS #10, CAN #5, IRE #12, SCO #11, UK #11, US #13), "Luxurious" (US #21) and "Crush" (US #49). The album reached the top position in Australia while reaching No.3 in Canada and Finland, No.5 in Ireland and Scotland and No.4 in the UK.
The Sweet Escape, her sophomore, was released December 1, 2006, via Interscope as well. The album peaked at No.3 in the US and Canada, while reaching No.2 in Australia. In 2007, Billboard ranked it at No.15 at the year-end chart. The album was supported by the singles "Wind It Up", "The Sweet Escape" (with Akon) (AUS #2, FRA #4, IRE #4, NZ #1, SCO #4, UK #2, US #2), "4 in the Morning", "Now That You Got It", and "Early Winter". The album reached the runner-up spot in Australia, No.3 in Canada, and peaked at #14 in the UK.
This Is What the Truth Feels Like (2016), was released nearly 10 years after her previous album, and it went straight to number-one on the Billboard 200 chart, earning Stefani her first number one record on the list. It was accompanied by the singles "Used to Love You", "Make Me Like You", and "Misery".
