Officio Play: 90th Edition
Katy Perry's "bandaids" debuts atop the Play's 90th Edition, scoring the popstar a first chart topper thereon. Marking her fifth top ten score, the singer has previously lingered in the tier with "Lifetimes" (3), "GIMME GIMME" (2), "CRUSH" (5), and "WONDER" (6).
In second place, Rosalía's former #1 rank "Berghain" (feat. Björk, Yves Tumor) descends from the top where it entered on the earlier edition, having earned the Spanish singer a first along with the collaborators. She trails a few new tracks on the listing: "Reliquia" (#16), "La Perla" (with Yahritza Y Su Esencia) (#39), "Divinize" (#50), "Mundo Nuevo" (#53), and "La Yugular" (#54).
Tyla's "CHANEL" hits a new peak, moving up to third place, scoring its third stint in the tier. The entry as reported is the first top ten effort for the South African artist. The song title references the renowned French luxury fashion house (founded by Coco Chanel).
Taylor Swift's own #1 score "The Fate of Ophelia" returns to the top 5 tier, lifting to fourth place, while adding its sixth consecutive run in the tier, since its start atop the list where it held the spot for two consecutive runs.
Kehlani marks her first solo top 10 with "Out The Window" which peeps in at No.5, the Edition's Top R&B effort. She was previously on Jordan Adetunji's eponymous hit "KEHLANI (REMIX)" which reached No.6. Adetunji adds a new track on the current edition, "Smoke n Drank" at No.29.
Cody Johnson holds the edition's Top Country spot with his first debut, "Travelin' Soldier", walking in at No.6. The tune is a cover version of The Chick's original release from their 2002 Home album.
HUNTR/X marks a straight 20 runs in the top tier with the Officio banger "Golden" which slips to No.7. Boasting the third most spells spent within the top region, the song racks a total 20 runs overall, along with its accompanying entry, SAJA BOYS' "Your Idol", which also adds a 20th stint on the current list, albeit sitting at the 100th position.
Sam Fender's sole number one score, "Talk to You", a feature with Elton John, descends to eighth place, in its fourth run on the tally, following the first three stints spent within the top three slots (3,1,2).
Nigerian musician, Shallipopi, earns his first top 10, with the ascent of "HIM", lifting from #13 to No.9, bringing Afroswing to the top tier. The song features rapper Gunna who adds a third top-ten effort thereon.
JERUB garners a second top 10 with "Kumbaya" debuting at No.10, following his No.8 ranking "Deeper".
