Officio Play : Edition 63
Lorde's "What Was That" escalates to the chart's summit (Edition 63), after entering the tally at No.2 on the 62nd Edition. It joins a string of songs that have debuted in the runner-up spot only to hit the top spot in their second run. She becomes the second New Zealand act to appear atop the Play list, following Rosé's "APT" (with Bruno Mars) which hit the No.1 spot on debut. The song is Lorde's only solo charting effort (and first top ten), following her feature on Charli XCX's "The girl, so confusing", which logged at No.66 on the 23rd Edition, charting for one single run.
Benson Boone's "Mystical Magical" swaps places with Lorde's "What Was That" as it drifts from the lead to place at number 2. It entered afloat the Play's Edition 62 list, scoring the crooner his second topper thereon.
English superstar, Ed Sheeran, makes a return to the Play top ten, debuting his highest at No.3 with "Old Phone", surpassing his other recent top 10, "Azizam" - which entered at No.5 on the tally and now collects a fifth run on the Play. "Old Phone" marks the edition's Top Debut and Sheeran's second top ten.
The Boss' former No.1 rank, "Blind Spot" holds on to fourth place for another run, adding a total third stay on the tally, having opened atop the 61st Edition.
Sombr (Shane Boose) arrives on the tally, rather later than never, with the sensational tune, "undressed" spotting in at No.5, earning the singer a very first appearance. He also adds another entry on the edition with "back to friends" at No.45.
Italian singer, Damiano David, debuts at No.6 with "Voices", the singer's second top 10 on the tally, after "Next Summer" which debuted at No.10 on the 54th Edition. It marks the singer's third solo entry including his rendition of "Nothing Breaks Like A Heart" which peaked at #42 on the 50th Edition.
The edition's Top EDM, for a second run, Gryffin & Excision's "Air" (with Julia Michaels) recedes from its No.3 debut post to land at No.7 with two stints in the top ten. JERUB's "Deeper" boasts a second stay in the top tier, while rising to a new No.8 post.
Bailey Zimmerman earns his second lead top-10, thanks the Luke Combs assisted "Backup Plan" which enters at No.9 on the latest edition. It marks his third overall top ten entry following "Holy Smokes" (No.4, Edition 6) and BigXthaPlug's "All the Way" (which eventually reached No.2), This marks the country singer's fifth effort on the Play. Combs, collects his second top ten score, which follows his feature on Post Malone's No.9 debuting "Guy for That" (Edition 28).
In 10th place, Lady Gaga's top-ten reigning masterpiece, "Die with a Smile" (with Bruno Mars) stands down to adding a 33rd period in the top tier, a record stay since its arrival on the 31st Edition.
