For All the Dogs : Drake
For All the Dogs is the 8th studio album by Canadian rapper/singer, Drake, released October 6, 2013, through OVO Sound and Republic Records. The set follows his 2022 collaborative studio album, Her Loss, with 21 Savage, as well as Honestly, Nevermind (2022), both of which went to number-one on the Billboard 200. The lead single "Slime You Out" (featuring SZA), was released September 15, and made its debut at number-one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, marking the 12th overall leader for the rapper and a second for SZA. The second single "8AM in Charlotte" was out October 5, followed by "Rich Baby Daddy" on October 13. The album sees appearances from Teezo Touchdown, 21 Savage, J. Cole, SZA, PartyNextDoor, Chief Keef, Bad Bunny, Sexxy Red and Lil Yachty.
The album went straight to number on the ARIA Album chart, earning Drake his 4th number-one charting album in Australia and fifth overall score as the mixtape Dark Lane Demo Tapes (2020) also charted at number one in that territory. The album also topped the Australian Hip Hop/R&B Albums (ARIA) chart. The set went to number-one on the Dutch Albums (Album Top 100) chart, #1 on the Irish Albums (OCC) (his third number-one album in the territory and fourth score altogether), #1 on the Italian Albums list, as well as New Zealand and Norway.
In the United Kingdom, For All the Dogs debuted atop the UK Albums (OCC) chart, marking his 4th solo number-one album in the UK, while adding a sixth overall (including Her Loss and Dark Lane Demo Tapes).
On the US Billboard 200, the set marked his 13th number one score where it debuted with 402,000 equivalent album units, the most for a solo artist on the record chart, just behind Jay-Z (14) and The Beatles (19). The track "First Person Shooter" (feat. J. Cole) made its debut at number-one on the Billboard Hot 100, marking Drakes record 13th #1 score on the chart (tying with Michael Jackson), while earning J. Cole his first ever number one score (for the week ending 21-Oct-2013). Meanwhile all 23 songs from the set chart on the Hot 100, while 7 of them occupy the top-ten with “IDGAF” (feat. Yeat) (#2), “Virginia Beach” (#3), “Calling for You” (feat. 21 Savage) (#5), “Slime You Out” (feat. SZA) (up from No. 18; peaked at No. 1), “Daylight” (#8), and “Fear of Heights” (#10).
