Album: Heaven & Hell (Ava Max)
American singer, Ava Max, had us hooked with the pop-tastic single "Sweet But Psycho", released in August 2018. The single was a successful hit on the UK Singles Chart, where it ruled at No.1 for a couple of weeks before reaching No.10 on the US Billboard Hot 100. It was basically a number-one hit in these areas: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Croatia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Scotland, to mention but a few. It also reached No.2 in Australia, No.11 in Canada while topping the US Dance Club Songs.
The singer's debut album, Heaven & Hell, finally arrived on Sept. 18, 2020 and we couldn't be any happier. Following its arrival the album debuted at No.2 on the UK Albums chart, a spot shy off the top, No.4 in Scotland, #17 in Ireland, No.7 in Australia, #16 in Canada, No.8 in Norway, No.27 in the US, and so forth.
Other notable tracks off the album are: 'Salt', 'Torn' 'Freaking Me Out', 'On Somebody', 'So Am I', 'OMG What's Happening' and 'Kings & Queens'. With the exception of 'So Am I' and 'Salt', all the aforementioned songs have appeared on our Officio 100 list and this week saw the other new tracks make appearances on the run, with 'Born to the Night' ranking the highest as it debuted at No.2, followed by 'Call Me Tonight' at No.7, and the top-20 effort entries, 'Tattoo' and 'Belladonna' - along with other new tracks. On the list Max amassed eight top-ten overall entries where two of them she's a featured act. The single "Who's Laughing Now" debuted atop the Officio 100 list, and marked Max's second topper following her feature on Alan Walker's "Alone, Pt. II".
