Alicia Keys: Albums Rankings

 

   Alicia, the eponymous seventh studio album by American singer-songwriter, Alicia Keys, was released on Sept. 18, 2020 via RCA Records and managed to make a No.4 debut on the Billboard 200 charts, and No.2 on the Canadian Albums chart, No.13 in Australia, while topping the R&B Albums chart in the US. The album marked Keys' eighth top-ten effort on the Billboard 200 run. So let's do a run-down on the talented singer's prior records. 

    HERE, the singer's 6th album was out in November 2016, and hit No.2 on the Billboard 200 chart, and a major top-40 elsewehere it managed to chart. 

   Girl on Fire (2012) debuted atop the Billboard 200 run and won the Best R&B Album at the 56th Grammy Awards, which was her third win in a row for the same category. It marked her fifth No.1 album in the U.S. while reaching No.2 on the UK Albums chart. The album peaked at No.8 in Canada.

   The Element of Freedom was released December 11, 2009, and debuted at No.2 on the Billboard 200 - her first album to not start at the chart's summit, while climbing to the top in the UK, hence becoming her first number-one album in the country. It reached a No.5 high in Canada, No.9 in Ireland and No.2 in Scotland. 

   Her third studio album, As I Am, was released in November 2007, and debuted at No.1 in the US while earning the singer three Grammy Awards and spawning the global smash hit "No One". The album reached No. in Australia, No.2 in Canada, while reaching No.11 on the UK Albums chart. 

   The Diary of Alicia Keys, her sophomore record, released December 2, 2003, opened atop the Billboard 200 chart while earning the singer three Grammy Awards in 2005. It reached #13 in the UK while topping the equivalent UK R&B Albums chart. 

   Songs in A Minor, the debut album that made Alicia Keys the awesome star we've come to adore, was released in June 2001, and started at the top of the Billboard 200 chart, and has been regarded as a classic. The singer took home five Grammy Awards in 2002, all thanks to the record. The album hit No. 2 on the Canadian Albums chart, No.3 in Australia, No.5 in Ireland, No.4 in Italy, No.9 in Scotland, and No.6 on the UK Albums chart. 

   Unplugged, her first live album released in 2005, was a No.1 success in the US, thereby giving the singer five US number-one albums as of this date. Throughout her career, Keys has sold over 22 million albums in the US, and over 42 million albums worldwide, making Keys one of the most successful female R&B acts.
