The set features Holland's Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, and contains covers of songs from the big band era. Debuting at No.1 on the UK Albums (OCC) chart (week of 1 March 2024 - 7 March 2024), the album earned Stewart his 11th number-one score (and first since 2019's You're in My Heart: Rod Stewart with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, while marking a first for the composer, Holland. 

The album debuted at No.2 in Scotland behind Snutt's Millennials (week of 1 March 2024 - 7 March 2024). Millennials debuts at No.2 in the UK for a challenge. The album also entered at #19 on the ARIA Albums list, No.4 in Germany and #45 in Ireland. 

Stewart's former studio album, The Tears of Hercules, was released 12 November 2021 and managed to peak at No.5 in the UK, while reaching No.4 in Scotland and No.11 in Ireland.
