Officio Birthday Star : Bryson Tiller
Born Bryson Djuan Tiller, on January 2, 1993, the American singer, songwriter & rapper started his career in 2011 with Killer Instinct Vol. 1 (his first mixtape). His debut single "Don't" was released May 20, 2015, the first single off his debut album, Trapsoul. The song would peak at No.13 on the US Billboard Hot 100, marking his first top-20 entry on the record chart, also earning the singer his contract with RCA Records thereafter.
T R A P S O U L was released on September 25, 2015 on Apple Music and generally on October 2, 2015 via RCA. It debuted at No.11 on the Billboard 200 list, and would reach the peak of No.8 in its 16th week on course. The set reached No.2 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums (Billboard), and hit No.29 in Canada and No.41 in the UK. Billboard would later rank it at No.11 at the year-end chart in 2016. RIAA certified the album 3x Platinum. Other singles from the set were "Exchange"(US #26, nominated for a Grammy Award in the category Best R&B Song at the 2017 ceremony), and "Sorry Not Sorry" (US #67). Trapsoul has amassed a total 350 weeks as of this article.
True to Self, his sophomore set was released May 26, 2017, via RCA, debuting at No.1 on the Billboard 200, earning Tiller his first US number-one record (with 107,000 album-equivalent units for the first week). In the second week, the record moved to N.13 and would later spend a total 25 weeks on the chart as of this article. The album peaked at No. in Canada while reaching No.12 in Australia, and No.11 in the UK, also hitting the top of the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums (Billboard). It was ranked by Billboard at No.96 at the year-end list of 2017. It features the singles "Somethin Tells Me" (US #74) and "Run Me Dry" (US #91). It also spawned the song "Self-Made", peaking at No.85 on the Hot 100.
