Officio Birthday Star : Big Boi

 

   Antwan André Patton (born February 1, 1975), better known by his stage name Big Boi, is an American rapper, songwriter, actor and record producer, best known for being a member of the southern hip hop duo Outkast alongside André 3000.


   Outkast released six studio albums, with their fourth set, Speakerboxxx/The Love Below  (2003), peaking at #1 on the US Billboard 200 chart while all the others were No.2 success records on the same chart. The duo scored the US number-one singles "Ms. Jackson"(2000), "Hey Ya!"(2003) and "The Way You Move" (feat. Sleepy Brown) (2003), along with the No.9 peaking single "Roses". The duo has won 5 American Music Awards, 6 BET Awards, 1 BET Hip Hop Award, 6 Grammy Awards out of 17 nominations, 3 MTV EMAs, 5 MTV VMAs, among other achievements. 

Big Boi released his debut album Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty in 2010 debuted at No.3 on the US Billboard 200 list, and spent 13 weeks on the chart. His second album Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors (2012), peaked at No.34 and the follow-up Boomiverse (2017) reached No.28 on the US chart.
