Ellie Goulding takes us on a journey that gets Higher Than Heaven

English singer-songwriter, Ellie Goulding, delivered yet another synth-pop vibe with the incredible artist's fifth studio album, Higher Than Heaven, out on April 7, 2023, courtesy of Polydor Records and a follow up to her 4th album, Brightest Blue (2020). The album sees production efforts from the like of Greg Kurstin, Stephen Kozmeniuk (Koz), Andrew Wottnam (watt), Jesse Shatkin, among a few others. Currently the singles off the album are "Easy Lover" (w. Big Sean) (r/ July 15, 2022), "Let It Go" (r/ Oct 19, 2022), and "Like a Savior" (r/ Feb 1, 2023).  The set includes 11tracks  and a bonus of 5 tracks - with a collaboration with producers Alok and Sigala on "All by Myself" (Track #16).

Higher Than Heaven went on to make its debut at the top of the UK Albums Chart, with a low figure as compared to her previous entries. The album marked Goulding's fourth number-one score on the UK record chart following her debut, Lights (2010),  Halcyon (2012), and Brightest Blue (2020), making her third album, Delirium (2015) which peaked at No.3 both in the UK and the US Billboard 200 chart, the only record to miss the top spot entirely. The same week Higher than Heaven debuted at number-one in the UK, Goulding achieved her 4th number one entry on the equivalent UK Singles Chart with "Miracle" (a collaboration with Scottish producer Calvin Harris) (not counting her contribution on charity singles).

The set debuted at #1 on the Scottish Albums Chart, while managing to peak at No.5  in Belgium.

Recounting the singer's biggest hits on the UK major chart, it all began with
"Starry Eyed" (No.4) and "Your Song"(No.2) in 2010;  "Anything Could Happen" (No.5) in 2012;"Burn"(her first ever No.1 single),"How Long Will I Love You (#3) in 2013; "Beating Heart" (#9) in 2014, "Love Me like You Do" (No.1), "On My Mind" (No.5) in 2015; "River" (#1) in 2019; and "Miracle" (#1) in 2023. Furthermore her featured entries that cracked the top-10 are: "I Need Your Love" (#4)  and "Outside" (#6) (with Calvin Harris),  "Do They Know It's Christmas?"
(as part of Band Aid 30), and "Times Like These"(as part of Live Lounge Allstars).
