Drake's latest release "Search & Rescue"


   Canadian rapper Drake delivered his first single for the year 2023 titled "Search & Rescue", a standalone single at the time of release. Release on April 7 via OVO and Republic, the track follows his previous "Circo Loco" (No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100), an effort with fellow rapper 21 Savage, hailing from their collaborative album Her Loss (a No.1 entry on the Billboard Hot 200 chart). As expected, the single "Search & Rescue" made its debut at No.2 on the Billboard Hot 100 accounting for the rapper's 68th top-ten entry on the chart, the most for any solo artist. It was kept off the top spot by Morgan Wallen's "Last Night". 

   The singer who boasts with a massive 11 number-one albums on the Billboard 200 tally and 12 number one singles on the equivalent Hot 100 record tally, adds his 38th top-ten entry on the UK Singles Chart where it debuts at No. 5 on the week ending 20 April 2023. The track becomes his 28th top 10 effort on the ARIA Singles list in Australia where it makes a start at No.8. Additionally, the single managed to debut at #6 in Ireland. 

   Revisiting the rapper's previous studio effort, Her Loss, a collaborative album with Atlanta-based rapper 21 Savage. The set was released on November 4, 2022, via OVO Sound and Republic Records. debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 with 404,000 album-equivalent units, including 12,000 pure album sales, replacing Taylor Swift's Midnights (2022) from the top spot. The album marked Drake's 12th number-one entry in the US and the third for 21 Savage. The setlist went to number-one in the rapper's native country, as well as Iceland, Lithuania, Norway, Switzerland and the UK, all the while peaking at No.2 in Australia, Austria, Denmark, Ireland,New Zealand and Sweden. On the year-end charts in the UK, the album was ranked at #69 (Year 2022).
