Lil Nas X's 'Old Town Road' Is the Fastest Song in History to Be Certified Diamond by the RIAA

Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road" featuring Billy Ray Cyrus has officially reached Diamond status. For a song to be certified diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), it must reach sales (and streaming equivalent sales) of 10 million units.

The country/hip-hop crossover is the first song to be certified diamond by the RIAA in 2020, and is the fastest in history to reach this milestone.

Back in July, "Old Town Road" broke the record for the most time spent atop the Billboard Hot 100, sitting at No. 1 for 19 weeks in a row.
