Officio Play ~ Edition 52
Kendrick Lamar replaces himself at the summit of the Play chart, leading the list again, with "luther", a feature with SZA, which climbs from No.4 to take the lead on the Edition 52 of the chart. The rapper collect his third chart topper, the second as a lead act (following a feature on Future & Metro Boomin's "Like That"). This marks the 8th rap entry to peak at the top of the list, while earning collaborator SZA her second number one, after she debuted atop the list with "Saturn" (Edition 6). Lamar becomes the only singular act to replace themselves at the tally's summit, as Future & Metro Boomin were credited as one but two artists ("Like That" was replaced by "Type Shit" at No.1). "luther" reaches the summit in its 8th run on the tally, having turned up on the 45th Edition at #7. "Not Like Us" (previous edition's leader) recedes to No.6, adding a total 8th stay on the chart as well, and a third in the top ten just as its successor at the helm. "squabble" climbs to a new No.16 in its second run.
Doechii's "Denial Is A River" solidifies itself as a top five effort as it ups from #7 to the runner-up slot, in its sixth run on the chart, marking the highest charting entry by a solo female rap act on the Play. Having entered on the 47th Edition, the song collects a third spell within the top 10 area. The rapper's other entry currently running, "Nosebleeds" reaches a new #13 peak in its second run on the tally.
Drake earns his best solo efforts on the chart with "GIMME A HUG" which embraces a No.3 start, along with "NOKIA" at No.10, a two-for-two feature which marks the Canadian rapper's third top ten effort. Drake amasses a total 17 songs overall on the Play to-date, 8 of which debut on the current list, including six of those credited with PARTYNEXTDOOR, who collects his first chart entries in one appearance.
Chappell Roan's mighty "Pink Pony Club" slides to fourth place after a #3 start on the prior edition, while it adds a second run on the tally, and the Edition's Top Pop effort.
Lady Gaga x Bruno Mars cruise back to the top 5 with the chart topping duet "Die With A Smile", which totals 22 runs on the tally, notably, all spent within the top ten tier from its No.1 debut.
Alex Warren earns a second top ten at No.7, thanks to an "Ordinary" rise for the singer, after the song made a entry at No.12 on the previous edition. This follows "Burning Down" which reached No.8 on the chart.
Muni Long debuts at No.8 with "Slow Grind", the singer's fourth top 10 effort on the tally, and the Edition's Top R&B effort. Sabrina Carpenter marks her 5th top ten (three of which are No.1 scores), with a No.9 starting "Busy Woman". The singer adds a total new 5 songs, bringing her total chart entries to 17. "Espresso" still on the tally, marks her longest charting as it racks up a 40th run on the tally (13 runs were spent in the top 10), the most by any female act on the list by far.
"Born Again" (LISA, Doja Cat & RAYE) earns a new spot on the list as it climbs to No.17 on the chart.
Sam Fender adds a fourth chart entry as "Remember My Name" debuts at No.19. Perrie Edwards returns to the tally with "Rollercoaster" at #25. Nathan Dawe teams up with Abi Flynn for "Here In Your Arms" at #26.
Alessia Cara's "Fire" flames up onto the tally at #27. Ayra Starr brings "All the Love" at No.32, the singer's 14th entry, the most by any African act on the chart thus far. SZA boasts two new entries on the tally, as does David Kushner.
Addison Rae's "High Fashion" styles in at #40. AJ Tracey teams up with Jorja Smith for a "Crush" landing at #49, followed by Anne-Marie's debut appearance on the tally with "Don't Panic" at #50.
