Officio Play : Edition 45
The Officio Play returns from a short intermission, with the 45th Edition. Billie Eilish's "Birds of a Feather" re-enters the chart at the top most position, earning the singer her best solo effort, surpassing "Lunch" (No.5). It also earns the singer her second No.1 entry following her feature on Charli XCX's "Guess" (Edition 29). Birds marks the very highest position for a song returning on the chart. The song had debuted at No.6 on the 18th Edition, staying on the tally for 8 consecutive runs, bowing out on the 25th Edition, charting at No.91. The single currently adds a ninth stint on the chart, and a second run in the top tier. Birds becomes the first No.1 score to lead the list without debuting at the summit nor climbing from a prior position.
"Die with a Smile" (Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars) leaps to No.2 (from #9), having led the 31st Edition, it adds a 15th stint in the top tier (the second best thus far), all of its entirety spent on the tally. Notably, the single has managed to reach the No.1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 (dated for this week).
Steve Aoki, Sam Feldt & XANDRA all collect their first top 10 scores with the No.3 debuting "I'm Going Out" (with Nile Rodgers & Zak Abel), the edition's Top EDM entry, and a shout out to the legendary Diana Ross' smash hit "I'm Coming Out" (co-penned by Rodgers). Rodgers and Abel both score their second top 10 and highest peaking features, after collaborating together on Kygo's "For Life" (#4).
Tate McRae's "2 Hands" slips to No.4 after leading the 44th Edition, which marked the singer's second No.1 score on the list, following "greedy". It adds a second spell in the top tier, after the chart returns from its recess.
Gracie Abrams nets her second top 10 on the Play (following the #3 ranking "us" (with Taylor Swift), thanks to a re-entry, "That's So True" (UK #1), returning to the chart at No.5, earning a first week in the top tier, a second run on the tally altogether, having entered at #98 editions ago. It marks the first time that two entries return on the chart for a re-run (within the top 10).
James Arthur adds yet another top 10 song, owing it to a No.6 debut on this edition - "ADHD" joins "Blindside" (which debuted and peaked at No.5 on the 2nd Edition). Kendrick Lamar takes the edition's Top Rap entry as "luther" (featuring SZA) debuts at No.7, earning both acts another spot in the top tier.
Shaboozey springs back into the top 10 with the chart's former leader "A Bar Song (Tipsy)", rising to No.8, adding a record extra run in the top 10 area. At No.9, Rosé & Bruno Mars' "APT." repeats in the same spot, having debuted on the 40th tally. Rose adds a new entry on the list with "toxic till the end" pouring in at No.14.
Closing out the top 10 is another former chart topper, Chappelle Roan's "Good Luck, Babe!" which makes a trip back to the tier, adding its 8th run in the top 10.
CHRYSTAL (Chrystal Jade Ruby Opal Orchard) earns her first Officio entry on the chart with "The Days (Notion Remix)" at #13. twenty one pilots put another song on the list, as "The Line" (from Arcane Season 2) sets in at No.21.
Zerb & Wiz Khalifa link up to deliver "Location" at No.23, a feature with Ty Dolla $ign, at #24 comes German singer songwriter Michael Schulte with his debuting score "Broken Sunshine".
SZA recruits Kendrick Lamar for their "30 for 30" collab aptly coming in at No.30. More debut entries: "Roots" (Emeli Sande, #33), "Smile" (Morgan Wallen, #34), "2s N 3s" (LeoStayTrill, Clean Bandit, #35), "Linger (SiriusXM Session)" (Royel Otis, #38), "Euphoria" (Armin van Buuren, Alok, #39), among others.
