Officio Play: Edition 31

 


   Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars duet their way to the top of the Play list, Edition 31, debuting atop with both artist's fore runner entry on the tally, "Die With a Smile", a soft rock song released  August 16, 2024, via Interscope and Streamline Records. Both acts are billed as leaders to the entry. 

   In second place, Post Malone debuts his highest on the edition with "Losers", a feature with singer Jelly Roll (who scores his second top-ten feature following his feature on Eminem's "Somebody Save Me" - a No.2 debut on the Edition 26). Malone adds his fifth and sixth top ten overall including the No.8 starter on this edition, "Goes Without Saying" a feature with legendary Brad Paisley (who earns a first appearance on the list). Malone currently boasts the second most top ten entries (6), behind Taylor Swift (11). On the edition, Posty also boasts the largest entries with a total of 20 tracks including Hide My Gun (feat. HARDY) (#11), Hey Mercedes (#15), Ain’t How It Ends (#25), Nosedive (featuring Lainey Wilson) (#26), Two Hearts (#40), Killed A Man (#65), Missin’ You Like This (feat. Luke Combs) (#66), Right About You (#67), What Don't Belong To Me (#68), California Sober (featuring Chris Stapleton) (#77), Fallin' in Love (#87), Dead at the Honky Tonk (#89), Wrong Ones (feat. Tim McGraw) (#94), Devil I've Been (featuring Ernest) (#95) and Have the Heart (feat. Dolly Parton). Malone enlists a crew of country superstars for the singer's sixth studio album, F-1 Trillion, released August 16, 2024, via Republic and Mercury Records

   The duo, Chase & Status, slip just a position to No.3, with "Backbone" (with Stormzy), following its No.2 debut on the Edition 30, while it ranks as the run's Top EDM entry. Benson Boone collects his highest debut on the Play thanks to "Pretty Slowly" turning in at No.4, marking the artist's second top 5 score, bested by the number one reaching "Beautiful Things" (Edition 5), which marks 31 runs on the current list. 

   In fifth place, we see Clean Bandit slipping from the top spot with their No.1 debut "Cry Baby", a feature with Anne-Marie & David Guetta, having atop the 30th Edition. Shaboozey's No.1 "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" holds at No.6 for another stay in the top tier, adding a record 15th run therein (escaping the tie with 'Beautiful Things'), all the while amassing 17 total spells. Following at No.7 is yet another former No.1 "Funeral" which rises a spot higher for its sixth stint therein. 

   Adam Port & Stryv "Move" (with Malachiii) into the top 10 with their melody house tune, earning the German DJ and the American-based producer, along with the singer Malachiii, their very first top ten effort each. The song jumps from No.28 to No.9 to join the top tier, as the edition's Top Gainer track. At the end of the tier is Chapell Roan's former number 1 "Good Luck, Babe!" which drops while adding a 7th stay in the top-tier and a 10th total run.
