Officio Play : Edition 30
For the 30th Edition of the Play, the electronic musical group Clean Bandit (originating from Cambridge, United Kingdom), bring EDM to the top of the tally marking a first as "Cry Baby" debuts at #1 on the list. Clean Bandit collects its first chart appearance. "Cry Baby" features English singer and songwriter Anne-Marie (who secures her first appearance on the tally) as well French DJ and producer, David Guetta who earns his 4th top ten effort on the list and a first chart topper.
Following at No.2 is another electronic dance debut entry "'BACKBONE" from first timers, Chase & Status (duo from London, United Kingdom) linking up with English rapper Stormzy, who collects his own first top ten effort and second entry overall.
The Killers debut in third spot, appearing on the chart list for the initial time with the anthemic song "Bright Lights" - about keeping the dream alive. marking the best rock entry on the edition. Mimi Webb's "Erase You" joins the top 5 tier at No.4 after having launched onto the chart at #7 (Edition 29).
Brazilian DJ, Alok, gains his second top-10 score on the Play, this time with his major debut in the area, "Why I Love You So" (feat. James Hurr & Supafly) coming in at No.5. This follows the producer's previous No.7 peaking "Deep in Your Love" (with Bebe Rexha). Shaboozey's former number one "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" recedes to No.6. The song led Edition 15 run, and on the current run, ties for the longest stay in the top 10 tier (at 14 runs), matching Benson Boone's "Beautiful Things". Chappell Roan's "Good Luck, Babe!" (Edition 24's number one) keeps in the tier rising to No.7 while adding a 6th stint in the top tier. Teddy Swims follows with another #1, "Funeral" sets down to 8th place.
Nigerian singer and rapper, Asake, delivers his first top ten entry, "Active" (with Travis Scott), entering at #9, marking Scott's fifth top-ten feature. Last edition's topper "Guess" (Charli XCX, Biilie Eilish) dips to No.10 following a No.1 debut.
Chappell Roan's "Hot to Go!" rises to No.11, tying with "Red Wine Supernova" which drops to No.30 on this edition. Polo G boasts the most entries on the edition with 9 new entries: "Rain Fallin" (with the Kid Laroi) at No.14, "Same Me" (feat. Fridayy) at No.24,
