Officio 100: Issue 047
The 47th issue of the Officio 100 list comes with a scoop of over 50 new entries supported mostly by new album sets from Chris Brown & Young Thug (Slime & B), NAV (Good Intentions), Lil Durk (Just Cause Y'all Waited 2), Lil Tjay (State of Emergency) and Kehlani (It Was Good Until It Wasn't).
On the week's Top 100, Gabby Barret's redux of 'I Hope' - a feature with singer Charlie Puth, rises to the top spot. While it marks the first country track to reach the No.1 spot, it earns the collaborators their foremost number-ones. Puth's effort on the song beats his previous best 'Cheating on You' which rose to a No.2 high. Barrett gets ahead of Thomas Rhett (another country act) whose 'Be a Light' peaked at No.2 - then the highest for a country track.
At No.2, Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber collaborated on 'Stick With U' - earning Grande her third top-5 and top-10 entry as well, while Bieber scores his sixth top-10 entry. Both acts have reached No.1 before with 'Don't Call Me Angel' (Grande) and 'Intentions' (Bieber).
Chris Brown & Young Thug debut two tracks in the top-10 as 'Go Crazy' at No.3 and 'Animal' at No.6. The former earns Brown his highest rank so far. The tracks emanate from the pair's new mixtape, Slime & B - released May 05, which was Brown's birthday. The set gives extra entries to the pair as 'Undrunk' (ft. Too hort, E-40) at No.22, 'Stolen' at No.35, 'I Got Time' (ft. Shad Da God) at No.53, 'Big Slime' (ft. Gunna, Lil Duke) at 58, I Ain't Trying at No.70, Trap Back (ft. Major Nine) at No.87 and Say You Love Me at No.92. Brown boasts with 5 top-ten entries while Thug stands at 4 top-tens, including his No.1 reach as a feature on Post Malone's 'Goodbyes'.
Norwegian singer Dagny climbs to the top-5 with her sole entry on the run. 'Somebody' which debuted at No.15 the week earlier jumps on to No.4 on the new list, making it the best gainer in the area.
marshmello and Halsey's collab, "Be Kind" slopes to No.5 after leading the run last week where it debuted at No.1. The track's marshmelo's only top-ten effort so far, while Halsey's fifth top-ten as it also marked her second number-one peak after "Graveyard".
Lil Durk collects his foremost top-ten entry with a No.7 debut - '3 Headed Goat', a feature with rappers Polo G and Lil Baby. Polo G scores a second top-10 effort (following his own 'DND' - a #10 peak) whereas Baby collects his 11th top-ten effort, quite a feat. The Chicago rapper makes multiple entries this week (from the album Just Cause Y'all Waited 2) as: Gucci Gucci (feat. Gunna)(#19), 248(#41), Street Affection(#66), Broke Up in Miami(#76), Turn Myself In(#85), Street Prayer(#91), Different Meaning(#96) and Fabricated(#97) - a total of nine entries. Including his previous two entries also available on the run along a a feature on NAV's entry, Durk holds the most entries for the week.
Canadian rapper, NAV, adds a second top-ten debut at No.8 this round with 'Codeine' featuring Gunna. NAV first showed up around the area with 'Turks' (which featured Gunna alongside Travis Scott) peaking at No.7. The rapper's sophomore album, Good Intentions, which holds the mentioned tracks, debuted atop Billboard's 200 chart and for the Officio run holds a string of other entries as: 'Status' (feat. Lil Uzi Vert)(#23), 'No Ice' (feat. Lil Durk)(#37), 'No Debate' (feat. Young Thug)(#40), 'Good Intentions' (Intro)(#42), My Business (feat. Future)(#48), 'Run it Up' (feat. Pop Smoke)(#56), 'Saint Laurentt'(#60), 'Recap' (feat. Don Toliver)(#62), and 'Speed It' (feat. Young Thug)(#93) - a total of 10 new entries and 11 overall. For Codeine, Gunna marks his 7th top-ten effort.
Last week's No.2 and No.3 debuts, Doja Cat's 'Say So (Remix) (with Nicki Minaj) and DJ Regard's 'Secrets' (with RAYE) respectively descend to No.9 and No.10, both spending a second week in the top-ten.
Beyond the top-10 this week, New York rapper, 6ix9ine (real name - Daniel Hernandez) makes his debut appearance with 'Gooba' at No.11, still his best and a top-10 hopeful.
Lil Tjay also adds a couple of entries starting with the No.12 'Zoo York' (feat. Fivio Foreign, Pop Smoke) - the best rank for Foreign so far - 'Shoot for the Stars' (feat. Fivio Foreign)(#18), 'Gettin Lit' (feat. Jay Gwuapo)(#29), 'City on My Back' (feat. Jay Critch)(#67), 'My City' (feat. J.I the Prince of N.Y)(#73) and 'Wet Em Up Pt. 2' (feat. Sheff G & Sleepy Hallow)(#80). Tjay's 'Ice Cold' drops from its No.5 debut down to No.78. The Bronx rapper now boasts a total of 23 entries (with 16 as a lead act).
Kid Ink's 'Live Forever' rises to a best No.14 this week. The rap trio, Migos debut their best 'Racks 2 Skinny' at No.15 while Katy Perry makes a chart return with 'Smile' at No.16 - featuring rapper Diddy, who makes a debut appearance on the run.
Musical production duo, Notd, make their first top-20 peak as they debut at No.20 with 'I Don't Know' featuring Astrid S, who earns her first top-20 rank as well.
Beyond the top-20, notably:
- TM88 & Southside debut at 28 with 'Blue Jean Bandit' (Feat. Future & Young Thug & Moneybagg Yo);
- Arizona Zervas adds '24' at No.32 marking the rapper's fourth entry;
- Rapper Dax debuts 'Joker' at No.38, his fifth entry and best peak after the No.40 'I Can't Breathe);
- Kehlani does a few entries as: 'Change Your Life' (feat. Jhene Aiko)(#45), 'Bad News' (#68), and 'Water'(#89). The tracks are taken from the singer's sophomore set, It Was Good Until It Wasn't, which debuted at No.2 on Billboard 200;
- Moneybagg Yo adds 'Me Vs. Me' at No.49;
- RMR recruits Future and Lil Baby for 'Dealer' at No.52.
- The Weeknd's new entry 'I'm a Virgin' at No.55 taken from an American Dad episode feature.
Of the 100 tracks this week, Lil Durk and Nav share the most entries as lead acts; Hip-Hop holds 58 entries - on for the run ahead of R&B (16), Pop (14), EDM (8), Country (3) and Alternative (1).
Further more, the longest-charting tracks on this week's run are: Woah (Lil Baby, 26 weeks, #4 peak), The Box (Roddy Ricch, 22 weeks, #1 peak) and Blinding Lights (The Weeknd, 23 weeks, #1 peak).
