Lil Nas X Leaps Onto Billboard 200, Hot 100, Hip-Hop & Rock Charts
Nas X's EP '7' bows at No. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop & Top Rap Albums tallies.
For all the success that Lil Nas X has already earned on Billboard's charts, this might be his biggest week yet.As previously reported, "Old Town Road," featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, tops the Billboard Hot 100 (dated July 6) for a 13th week, becoming the longest-running No. 1 for a hip-hop song ever.
Meanwhile, his EP 7 debuts at No. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums charts with 77,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music. As first reported, the set starts at No. 2 on the all-genre Billboard 200.
Hot 100 debuts: Two tracks from the eight-song 7 (which includes both the Cyrus remix and original Lil Nas X-only version of "Road") arrive on the Hot 100: "Panini" at No. 16 and "Rodeo," with Cardi B, at No. 22, marking his second and third entries on the chart.
Hip-hop hits: "Panini" and "Rodeo" concurrently debut on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs at Nos. 9 and 12, respectively. On Hot Rap Songs, they launch at Nos. 7 and 10. "Road" rules both lists for a 13th week.
Ready to rock: The genre-bending Lil Nas X also makes his first appearances on Billboard rock charts, as two other tracks from 7, "F9mily (You & Me)" and "Bring U Down" (featuring Ryan Tedder), debut at Nos. 6 and 7, respectively, on Hot Rock Songs.
