Released as her 8th studio album, Cowboy Carter (Act II: Cowboy Carter) follows Renaissance (2022) (a US #1 album), as the second installment in the trilogy project. Mostly a country record, the album features the single "Texas Hold 'Em" - which went on to top the Billboard Hot 100, marking the first time a black female artist topped the tally with a country song, it also became the singer's 9th solo number-one on the chart, all the while topping charts in Australia, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, the Netherlands, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. The single also debuted atop the Billboard Hot Country Songs list (yet another record broken). "16 Carriages" was released as the second single, debuting at No.9 on the Hot Country Songs, her second entry thereon, while reaching #38 on the Hot 100 (as of this article date). The third single "II Most Wanted" (with Miley Cyrus) debuted at No.9 on the UK Singles chart. The single debuted at No.6 on the Hot 100 along with the cover version of Dolly Parton's "JOLENE" setting in at No.7 on the Hot 100 and No.7 in the UK while debuting at No.3 on the Hot Country Songs (US). 

The singer's debut album, Dangerously in Love was released June 23, 2003 via Columbia Records, went straight to the top of the Billboard 200 list as well as the single "Crazy in Love" topping the Hot 100 chart simultaneously. "Baby Boy" (feat. Sean Paul) eventually peaked atop the Hot 100 list.
