Officio 100: 56th Run

 

The Officio 100: Issue 056 presents the top 100 selected tracks for the week ending Sept. 13, 2020. Pop takes the lead as it also rules the top-ten in that sense. 

 

Katy Perry scores her second number-one entry with "Only Love" starting at the top of the run, following "Harleys in Hawai" which previously did the same.  The parent album, Smile, which is our top album for the week sees more tracks make entry on the run as: Teary Eyes (#8), Not the End of the World (#28), Resilient (#30), Tucked (#33), Champagne Problems (#67), High on Your Supply (#87), and Cry About It Later (#91). Furthermore, 'Smile' climbs to a new post landing a No.4 this week.

 A number-one potential, Downtown (2020) by Allie X & Della Casa takes the week's No.2 debut as it represents out top EDM song for the week.  Alexandra Ashley Hughes, known by her stage name Allie X, is a Canadian singer, songwriter and visual artist. 

"Tick Tock" (Clean Bandit, Mabel & 24KGoldn) moves down to third place following its rule on the run the week before, a position it debuted. The awesome track spends another week in the top-3. 

At No.5, Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande collab, 'Rain on Me' makes a remarkable return to the chart run, making it the first track to make a re-entry straight into the top-10. The foremr No.1 debut on the chart, earns its third week on the run considering the chart took a hiatus for over a month's time.

S. African rapper, Nasty C, collects his foremost top-ten entry at No.6 with 'Bookoo Bucks', a feature with rappers Lil Keed & Lil Gotit, who each add a top-ten entry to their collection. The only hip-hop track in the top-10 this week, the track emanates from the singer's third album, Zulu Man With Some Power. Elsewhere on the run, Nasty adds multiple entry as: Eazy (#19) - our top rap song of the week, All In (feat. T.I.) (#23), Lose Some Win Some (#43), Sad Boys (#55), King Shit (#65), Ababulali (#75), and Palm Trees (#80). 'Zulu Man' climbs to No.46 in its second week. 

BTS' 'Dynamite' falls to No.7 following its No.2 debut last week. Miley Cyrus' "Midnight Sky" slips to No.9, spending yet another week in the top-ten, after its No.1 rule on the run. Kiesza's 'All of the Feelings' returns to the top-ten at No.10 for its second week in the league, having started there at #5, previously. 

Weekly Gainers:

The Killers score their best feature on the run with the ascent of 'My Own Soul's Warning' which rockets from #95 to a new peak, No.13, making it the rock band's third top-20 effort. The band adds another entry at No.45 - 'Running Towards a Place'. 

New Hope Club - Love Again (#14)

The Weeknd's 'Blinding Lights' rises to No.16, scoring its 32nd week on the chart, making it the second longest running thereon. 

24KGoldn earns his second top-20 effort as 'Mood' rises to No.18 in its second week, while iann dior collects his highest entry so far. 

Morgan Wallen's '7 Summers' hits No.40 in its second week on the run. 

Machine Gun Kelly & blackbear's 'my ex's best friend' climbs to No.44. 

Russell Dickson's 'Love You Like I Used To' returns to the chart, earning a new peak at No.49. Nas' 'King's Disease' moves up to No.50.  

Tim McGraw's 'If I Was a Cowboy' rises to No.68. 

Weekly Debuts: 

BLACKPINK scores its best rank on the run, with 'Ice Cream' at No.15, a feature with Selena Gomez who adds a new top-20 effort to her collection. 

HARDY's 'Give Heaven Some Hell' comes in at No.20, the singer's first appearance and the week's best country track. 

Seeb & Julie Bergan return to the run with 'Don't You Wanna Play?' at No.21, marking their best feature yet.

Calvin Harris teams up with The Weeknd for 'Over Now' at No.24. Nathan Dawe and KSI with 'Lighter' at No.32. Keith Urban adds 'Superman' at No.35. 

Big Sean's 'Harder Than my Demons' gives the rapper a new top-20 entry at No.36. Tylah Yaweh collects his second entry with 'Tommy Lee' (Remix) at No.38, bringing along rappers, Post Malone and Saint JhnA$AP Ferg comes in at No.41 with 'No Ceilings' (feat. Lil Wayne & Jay Gwuapo).  2KBaby with '20K' at No.48. 

B.O.B scores first entry with 'After Hourzzz' at #52. CNCO with 'Beso' at #58. Ty Dolla $ign & Nicki Minaj with 'Expensive' at #59. Cheat Codes with 'Between Our Hearts' (with CXLOE) at #62. 

Public Enemy's 'Fight the Power' (2020 Remix) debuts at No. 66. Famous Dex with 'Hold On' at #69. AJR with 'Bummerland' at #71.  Monica and Lil Baby's 'Trenches' at No.77; Illenium returns with 'Nightlight' at No.79. 

Carrie Underwood scores her first entry at No.81 with 'Let There Be Peace'.  Cordae and Roddy Ricch link up for 'Gifted' at No.86.
