Officio 100: Issue 054

 

 
   Presenting our weekly favorite tracks bundled as The Officio 54 run and as usual hip-hop boasts the most newer entries thanks to new projects suac as Dave East's Karma 3 and Trav's Nothing Happens Overnight. Still, newer pop makes its way to the new issue as well as other genres just as highlighted below: 
 
Top Ten Highlights:

   Miley Cyrus brings pop back to number-one as "Midnight Sky" comes in at the top, earning Cryus her second number-one entry and foremost as a sole lead act. The singer was part of the female collab 'Don't Call Me Angel' (with Ariana Grande & Lana del Rey) which rose to #1. With Midnight Sky, Cyrus joins the female league of artists who have at least two toppers on the Officio run, and scores her third top-ten effort (after the #3 'Slide Away'), and fourth overall entry. 

   At No.2, Drake teams up with Lil Durk to deliver the best hip-hop track of the week, "Laugh Now, Cry Later", holding up the runner-up spot. The Canadian rapper has reached the No.2 spot before so this marks his second time and best as a lead act, marking his 6th top-ten entry and 23rd overall. Lil Durk, on the other hand, scores his highest entry, and second top-10, after the No.7 '3-Headed Goat' (feat. Lil Baby & Polo G). This marks Durk's 20th entry on the run. 
 
   English songstress, Dua Lipa, returns to the run, as a lead act, after quite a while, however with a redux for her already charted track, 'Levitating' which resurfaces as 'Levitating (The Blessed Madonna Remix)' at No.3, as she brings into the top-ten music icons, Madonna and rapper Missy Elliot. Lipa earns her sixth top-ten while the icons their foremost. The original solo version reached a No.12 high where it had debuted. 
 
   Murda Beatz, Ty Dolla $ign & Polo G recede to No.4 with "Doors Unlocked", following a rise to the summit last week, earning a third week in the top-5. 

   Canadian pop favorite, Kiesza, makes a debut entrace on the Officio run, starting off with her best at No.5, 'All of the Feelings' and a few more entries as: Run Renegade (#17), Love Me With Your Lie (#24), Crave (#49), When Boys Cry (#63), Can't Be Saved (#75) and Sky Ain't the Limit (#89). 

   DaBaby's 'Rockstar' (feat. Roddy Ricch), joins the very few tracks that have made a return to the top-ten after having departed the area. The single which came in at No.2 previously, rises to No.6 while earning a third week in the top-ten and 11th overall. The rapper a new entry as 'Call it Even' debuts at #39, bringing his total entries to a record 52, a feat he currently shares with fellow rapper, Lil Baby. 
   
   Joel Corry and MNEK's UK hit collab 'Head & Heart' rises to a new peak at No.7, scoring a second week in the top-ten for both acts. 
 
   R&B music sesantional, John Legend, scores his third top-ten effort with the ascent of 'Never Break' to No.8. The late entry follows the singer's 'Bigger Love' (#3) and 'Conversations in the Dark' (#10).  
 
   Former No.4 ranking trap 'She Know' (Lil Keed & Lil Baby), descends to No.9 in its third week in the top-ten and overall.  
 
   Rounding up the week's top-ten is former No.1 debut, Ava Max's "Who's Laughing Now" as it also earns a third week in the top-10. 
 
Top-20 Highlights:
 
   Ava Max's own redux dubbed 'King's & Queens Pt. 2' (with Saweetie and Lauv) rises to No.11, earning the singer an extra top-20 entry. It also marks a rare follow-up for the No.10 and N0.11, featuring the same act. 
 
   Lewis Capaldi returns to the run as well after a while, however with an already charted track, but a rather different version as 'Before You Go (Orchestral)' opens at No.12. He joins a few acts that have made returns on charted tracks.  
 
   Keith Urban adds a fifth entry to the run with 'Change Your Mind' at No.14, marking his best as a lead act.  The country veteran was featured on Thomas Rhett's No.2 peaking star collab 'Be a Light'. 
 
   Trevor Daniel's 'Past Life (Remix)' (with Selena Gomez & Lil Mosey) rises to the top-20 settling at No.15, marking Daniel's best peak after 'Falling (Summer Walker Remix)' (No.18). 
 
   At No.18, AJ Tracey and Mabel, both English stars, join the top-20 race with 'West Ten' which marks Tracey's best peak on the run as he spends a fourth week on the chart. As for Mabel, this adds to her top-20 efforts. 
 
   Dave East, the Harlem, New York rapper, scores his first top-20 entry as 'Handsome' debuts at No.19 while adding newer tracks as:  Know How I Feel (feat. Mary J. Blige) (#30) (Blige's debut entry), Thank God (feat. A Boogie wit da Hoodie) (#34) (Hoodie's 30th entry),  Broke or Not (feat. Jozzy) (#70), Menace (#78), Unruly (feat. Popcaan) (#85), Believe It or Not (#87), Said What I Said (feat. Doe Boy) (#92), Envy (#96), The City (feat. Trey Songz) (#98) and Fuck Dat (feat. Young Dolph) (#99). This brings the rapper's total entries to 15. 
 
 
Over-20 Highlights:

   blackbear adds newe entries on the run as:  if I were u (ft. Lauv) (#23), clown (feat. Trevor Daniel) (#47) and Hard on Yourself (#66) - a collaborative effort with Charlie Puth
 
   Producer, Internet Money, adds two newer entries on the run: Thrusting (feat. Swae Lee & Future) (#26) and Lemonade (feat. Don Toliver, Gunna, Nav) (#53). 
 
   Nas recruits Hit-Boy for his debut entry as a lead act, 'Ultra Black' at No.31, marking his second overall entry.  The legendary rapper was featured on Lil Nas X No.7 peaking remix of 'Rodeo'.  
 
   Dennis Lloyd makes a debut entrance with 'Alien' at No.33; Kito, ZHU & Jeremih collaborate on 'Follow' at No.35 while British pop trio, New Hope Club enter with 'Love Again' at No. 36. 
 
   Anne-Marie and Doja Cat's 'To Be Young' returns at No.40 as a 22o KID remix. Lil Mosey adds another at No.42 with 'Bands Out Tha Roof'  while Trav adds new entries from his Nothing Happens Overnight set.  Kane Brown adds 'Worship You' at No.45.  Ciara teams with Ester Dean at No.50 with 'Rooted'. 
 
 
   For entries beyond No.50, kindly refere to the chart run.  The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" racks up a 30th week on the run, matching Lil Nas X's 'Panini' which also hit 30 weeks on thr run. Only two tracks are ahead of 'Blinding Lights' in that perspective.
