Carly R.J – "Party For One"
Carly Rae Jepsen went hard on this fresh dope new spanking anthem described “Party For One” and as you would have it - it’s always an anthem.
It was released as the lead single from her upcoming fourth studio album on November 1, 2018, through 604, School Boy and Interscope Records.[3] The track was written by Jepsen, Tavish Crowe, Julia Karlsson, and Anton Rundberg, and produced by Hightower and Captain Cuts.[4]
It's not clear which reason Carly Rae Jepsen’s team had in mind when they unleashed both her long-awaited new single "Party For One" and its accompanying video
Given the immense, critical acclaim for her 2015 LP, Emotion, it's possible that they're just trying to satisfy the ravenous appetite for its proper follow-up -- an album Jepsen's been teasing since at least early 2017.
“Party For One” is not a radical musical departure for the singer -- with its slick synths and jaunty percussion, it wouldn’t have sounded out of place on Emotion, sandwiched between “Run Away With Me” and the title track. That album proved to skeptics that Jepsen made music for grown-ups; now with “Party For One,” she’s making sure you know she’s been one this whole time.
Jepsen's breakthrough came in 2012, when her single "Call Me Maybe" was boosted to significant mainstream popularity; the song became the best-selling single of that year, reaching number one in eighteen countries worldwide
In 2015, Jepsen released her third studio album Emotion. It is noted for its influence from 1980s music as well as blending dance-pop and synth-pop with indie sensibilities. While less commercially successful than Kiss, it saw the success of its lead single "I Really Like You" and received critical acclaim
